Hadi,Foon and Rama are classmates.They go to Saujana Puchong Primary School.They have been together since Year 1.
Last Wednesday evening,while they having their food in the canteen,they saw an article about the sufferings of the earthquake victims in Indonesia.They tought of an idea.They discussed it their class teacher,Madam Lee Wei.She got permission from the headmaster for the pupils to carry on with the project.He agreed to let them raise funds by washing cars in the school.The following day,they put up posters all over the school to let the pupils know about the programme.
During the weekend,many teachers and parents brought their cars to the school.All the pupils of the class worked together to wash the cars.The boys washed the exterior while the girls cleaned the interior.Their customers were satisfield with the wash.Some paid more than what was charged as their contributions for the project.
In the evening,after washing all the cars,some pupils cleaned-up the place while others packed up the things.They then counted all the money they have collected.They managed the collect RM500.00.
The following Monday during the morning assembly,a representative from Berita Harian was present to receive the money they collected all the money they have collected.The pupils and their teacher handed over the collected to him.The pupils were able to contibute in helping others who were in need.
